How to take

Adult dose

Typically, for adults, 1 capsule orally 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. This medication contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Caution should be exercised when administering this medication to patients with chronic active hepatitis or cirrhosis, patients with hypokalemia, patients with severe pancreatic disease, patients with peptic ulcers, and patients with cholelithiasis. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occur during the use of this medication, and occasionally abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or upper abdominal discomfort may also be experienced. Additionally, hypersensitivity reactions such as itching or rash may occur, and occasionally skin rashes can develop, which typically resolve with the use of antihistamines. Transient jaundice may occur, but symptoms improve upon cessation of the medication or with the use of jaundice treatment agents. Rarely, systemic fatigue or dizziness may be observed. If symptoms do not improve or if any unusual symptoms occur after long-term use of this medication, it is important to stop taking it immediately and consult a physician or pharmacist. It is important to store this medication out of reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid taking this medication due to potential harm to the fetus.
