This medication helps improve liver function and reduce inflammation in cases of continuously elevated SGPT levels due to chronic persistent hepatitis. It reduces damage to liver cells and supports the recovery of normal liver function, thereby improving overall liver health. This drug is effective in alleviating liver dysfunction when used in the treatment of chronic liver disease.

How to take

Adult dose

Usually, 1 capsule for adults, taken orally three times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. Additionally, since this drug contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Caution is advised in patients with chronic active hepatitis, cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disorders, peptic ulcers, or gallstones. During treatment, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occasionally occur, and rarely abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or upper abdominal discomfort may be experienced. Allergic reactions like itching or rashes may occur; however, symptoms usually resolve with the concurrent use of antihistamines. Transient jaundice may occur, but symptoms improve after stopping the medication or using jaundice treatment. Rarely, lethargy or dizziness can occur, necessitating caution. Dosage instructions must be strictly followed, and if symptoms do not improve after 8 weeks of use or if any abnormal symptoms arise, the medication should be stopped and a doctor or pharmacist consulted. It is important to store this medication in a safe place out of reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant are advised not to use this medication due to potential harm to the fetus. Additionally, when taken with oral antidiabetic drugs, the effects of the antidiabetic medication may be increased, thus careful administration is required.
