This medication is used to improve constipation and also helps relieve loss of appetite, abdominal distension, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoidal symptoms caused by constipation.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 2 to 3 tablets once daily at bedtime (on an empty stomach). However, start with the minimum dose and adjust gradually based on the shape and condition of the stools.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with acute abdominal diseases, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe abdominal conditions such as ulcerative colitis. Additionally, patients with intestinal obstruction should not take this medication. This medication contains lactose, and individuals with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption may face risks when using it. During treatment with this medication, it is advisable not to take it within 1 hour after consuming antacids or milk. Individuals with severe abdominal pain or vomiting, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, patients with kidney dysfunction, those taking other medications, individuals following a sodium-restricted diet, and those with a history of rectal bleeding or intestinal failure should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as skin rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If abdominal discomfort or cramping occurs, or if constipation does not improve after one week of use, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration. Children under 10 years of age should not take this medication unless absolutely necessary. When taking the tablets, it is important not to chew but to swallow them whole. Prolonged use can lead to tolerance to the medication and worsening constipation, so it should not be used continuously for more than one week. If daily laxatives are needed, addressing the underlying cause of constipation is necessary.
