Relief of myalgia, joint and tendon inflammation (including arthritis and tendinitis), and post-traumatic swelling and pain
This medication is used to relieve various pains and inflammation such as degenerative arthritis, adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder, tendinitis and epicondylitis (tennis elbow), muscle pain, and swelling and pain due to trauma.
After removing the release liner from the adhesive side, apply to the affected area twice daily.
This medication contains the active ingredient flurbiprofen, primarily used to alleviate pain and inflammation. First, individuals with hypersensitivity to this medication or those who have had allergic reactions to flurbiprofen in the past should not use it. Additionally, those who have a specific type of asthma known as aspirin-induced asthma or have previously experienced such asthma attacks should avoid using this medication as it may trigger an asthma attack. Patients with bronchial asthma should use this medication cautiously due to the risk of asthma attacks. When using this medication, allergic reactions such as redness, rash, itching, and burning sensations may occur. In such cases, use should be discontinued immediately. Also, symptoms like shortness of breath, wheezing, or difficulty breathing may indicate an asthma attack, and usage should be stopped immediately, and medical consultation should be sought. This medication helps alleviate symptoms but is not a cure for the underlying condition, so this point should be kept in mind during treatment. When used on areas with skin infections, the infection may progress unnoticed; thus, it should be used in conjunction with antibacterial or antifungal medications while carefully monitoring the skin condition. In chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, do not rely solely on this medication; consider other treatment options as well, and closely monitor for any side effects. During pregnancy, especially in the first and second trimesters, it should only be used if necessary, with minimal dosage and short duration of treatment. In the third trimester, it should not be used due to potential risks to the fetus and mother. For children, safety has not been sufficiently confirmed; therefore, its use is not recommended. Elderly patients may have more fragile skin and should use this medication cautiously while closely observing the skin condition at the application site. Lastly, this medication should not be used on damaged, wounded skin, mucous membranes, or areas with eczema or rashes, and it is advisable to clean the sweat from the application site before use.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication is sensitive to light and should be stored in a container that does not allow light in. Additionally, it is important to maintain a room temperature, specifically between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius, when storing the medication. This way, the drug's efficacy can be well-preserved, and deterioration can be prevented.
