Long-term safety following extended daily dosing has not been established, and because the effects of this drug usually last for more than one day, continuous daily administration of this drug is strongly discouraged. [See section 1. Warnings and 11.1) Pharmacodynamic Properties.] Use in elderly men No dosage adjustments are necessary in elderly patients. Use in men with renal impairment No dosage adjustment is necessary in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose in patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. Precautions

This drug is for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and a doctor's diagnosis and cardiovascular assessment are necessary before use. Sexual activity may put a strain on the heart, so patients with cardiovascular disease should exercise particular caution. If an erection lasts more than 4 hours, medical assistance should be sought immediately, as failure to treat can lead to penile tissue damage and loss of erectile function. This drug should not be taken with nitrate preparations, as it can cause dangerously low blood pressure, and concomitant use is prohibited. It should not be used by patients who have had significant cardiovascular events such as myocardial infarction or stroke recently. Patients with genetic retinal disorders or hypersensitivity to this medication should also not use it. Taking it with other erectile dysfunction treatments is not recommended as safety has not been confirmed. Patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function may require dosage adjustment, and careful evaluation by a physician is essential before administration. This medication may interact with alpha-blockers and strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, so caution is advised when used together. During treatment, sudden vision loss or hearing reduction may occur; if these symptoms appear, usage should be stopped immediately and a physician consulted. Caution should be exercised to avoid excessive drinking, as combining with alcohol may lead to blood pressure reduction and dizziness. It is advisable to confirm individual reactions before driving or operating machinery after ingestion. In the event of an overdose, standard supportive care should be provided, and dialysis does not significantly affect this drug's excretion. Store out of reach of children and keep in its original packaging for safety.
