Precautions

This medication is used to treat erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia, and a proper medical evaluation is required before use. Since sexual activity can put strain on the heart, patients with cardiovascular disease should consult a physician and use it cautiously. If an erection lasts for more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help, as untreated cases can lead to penile tissue damage and loss of erection ability. This medication should not be taken with nitrate drugs, as it can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure; patients taking nitrate medications must not use this at all. Patients who have had recent cardiovascular conditions such as myocardial infarction, stroke, or unstable angina may face risks when using this medication. This drug should not be administered to patients with certain hereditary retinal diseases or hypersensitivities, and its use with other erectile dysfunction treatments is not recommended. Patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment require dosage adjustments and caution when using this medication. Co-administration with alpha-blockers or antihypertensives may lead to significant blood pressure drops, so consultation with a physician is necessary. This medication may cause side effects such as headache, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, flushing, and limb pain, and rare but serious cardiovascular anomalies or loss of vision and hearing have been reported. If sudden loss of vision or hearing occurs during treatment, discontinue use immediately and inform a healthcare professional.
