Adult dose

Use in adult men The recommended dose of this drug is 10mg. Chew and take it regardless of meals before anticipated sexual activity. For patients who do not achieve a sufficient effect with tadalafil 10mg, 20 mg may be tried. This drug may be taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. Long-term safety after prolonged daily dosing has not been established, and because the effect of this drug usually lasts for more than a day, continuous daily administration is strongly discouraged. [See section 1. Warnings and section 11.1) Pharmacodynamic properties] Use in elderly men No dosage adjustment is required in elderly patients. Use in men with renal impairment No dosage adjustment is required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose in patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. [See section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. Use in men with hepatic impairment The recommended dose of this drug is 10mg, taken regardless of meals before anticipated sexual activity. Since clinical data on the safety of this drug in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class C) are limited, if prescribing it, the physician should carefully assess the individual benefit/risk. There are no data on administering doses higher than 10mg to patients with hepatic impairment. [See section 3. Child dose

This drug should not be used in persons under 18 years of age.

This medication is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and the cause and condition must be accurately identified through medical history and physical examination before taking it. Sexual activity may strain the heart, so it should be taken after confirming cardiovascular health. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours, seek medical help immediately, as failure to treat it may result in damage to penile tissue and permanent loss of erectile function. Taking this medication with nitrate preparations may cause a risk of excessive blood pressure drop, so it should not be used during the period of taking this medication. Patients who have had recent cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, angina, heart failure, or stroke should not take this medication. Patients with hereditary retinal diseases or hypersensitivity to this medication should also avoid taking it. Combining it with other erectile dysfunction treatments is not recommended as safety and efficacy have not been validated. Patients with penile deformity or certain blood disorders, as well as those with severe kidney or liver dysfunction should use caution and may require dose adjustments. Care should be taken when combining with some antihypertensive medications, as hypotension may occur. In clinical trials and post-marketing studies, side effects such as headaches, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, flushing, limb pain, nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory infection, cough, diarrhea, gastroesophageal reflux disease, abdominal pain, dizziness, abdominal pain, increased blood urea nitrogen, palpitations, conjunctival congestion, vomiting, nausea, fatigue, stiff neck, urethral pain, renal colic, dry mouth, heartburn, gastrointestinal disorders, drowsiness, leukocytosis, thrombocytopenia, anxiety, sleep disturbances, hemoglobin reduction, eye pain, chest pain, and others have been reported. Rarely, serious cardiovascular adverse reactions or loss of vision and hearing may occur. If sudden loss of vision or hearing occurs during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Care should be taken when taking this medication with alcohol, as it may lead to lowered blood pressure and dizziness. In case of overdose, standard emergency treatment should be provided, and dialysis is not effective. This medication is not to be used by children, women, or pregnant women, and should be stored out of reach of children.
