Relief of skin irritation such as allergic dermatitis and contact dermatitis (diaper rash)
This medication helps with various skin issues and itching symptoms, such as allergic dermatitis, cosmetic irritation, and heat rash. It is effective for contact dermatitis, particularly diaper rash, and is also used for post-shaving irritation. It helps prevent skin roughness, maintaining healthy skin. It is widely used for various skin diseases and symptom relief.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area (site of condition) several times a day.
This medication should not be used on open wounds or mucosal areas. Caution is needed, as symptoms may worsen if used on areas with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections. It should not be used on inflamed skin or on persons allergic to its components. Patients with perforated eardrums due to eczematous external otitis should not use it as healing may be delayed. Avoid using it on ulcerated or severely burned, frostbitten areas, as it may hinder skin regeneration. Patients with perioral dermatitis or common acne, as well as rosacea, should also avoid using this medication. Use with caution if there has been a history of allergic reactions or family history. Patients receiving treatment from a physician or those with extensive skin lesions should also be careful when using it. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, and children or infants need to take precautions when using this medication. This medication contains propylene glycol, so caution is particularly needed in those allergic to this ingredient. Skin infections may develop; in such cases, it is advisable to use antibacterial or antifungal agents in conjunction, or to discontinue use if symptoms do not improve. Various skin side effects, such as folliculitis, skin irritation, rashes, itching, and dry skin, may occur, and if such symptoms arise, immediate consultation with a physician or pharmacist is necessary. Long-term use may result in skin thinning or vasodilation as steroid side effects, requiring a reduction in use or a switch to another medication. Using it extensively or for prolonged periods may have systemic effects, potentially inhibiting pituitary or adrenal function, so caution is necessary. Caution should be observed when using it near the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, and if symptoms like blurred vision occur, an eye examination is warranted. Adhere strictly to prescribed usage and dosage, and children should use under adult supervision. It is generally not recommended for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, but if necessary, it should be used along with antibacterial or antifungal agents. Topical corticosteroids can be absorbed into the body, potentially having systemic effects, so regular blood tests or monitoring for side effects should be conducted when used over large areas for long periods. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 days of use, discontinue usage and consult with a specialist, and it is advisable not to use it continuously for long periods. It is safest to discontinue as soon as symptoms improve. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid using this medication in large amounts or for long periods, and should consult a physician to make careful decisions when treatment is necessary. Nursing mothers should also be cautious as this medication can potentially be transmitted through breast milk. Children have a larger skin surface area relative to body weight, increasing the risk of side effects, so special caution is necessary, and it is advisable to avoid using it in environments akin to occlusive dressing like diapers. This medication is for external use only; it must not be ingested and care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes. If it comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water, and if symptoms are severe, it is safest to seek care from an ophthalmologist. Should not be used after makeup or shaving for purposes other than treatment, and occlusive dressing should not be used without a physician's instruction. Store in a tightly sealed container to avoid exposure to air or moisture. It should be kept in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and the cap must be tightly closed. Do not use products past their expiration date, and avoid transferring to other containers.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
