Adult dose
For oral administration. Use in adult men The recommended dose of this medicine is 10mg, taken regardless of meals before anticipated sexual activity. For patients in whom tadalafil 10mg does not provide an adequate effect, 20 mg may be tried. This medicine may be administered at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. Long-term safety after extended daily dosing has not been established, and because the effect of this medicine usually lasts for more than one day, continuous daily administration of this medicine is strongly discouraged. [See Sections 1. Warnings and 11.1) Pharmacodynamic properties] Use in elderly men Dosage adjustments are not required in elderly patients. Use in men with renal impairment No dosage adjustment is required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose in patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. [See Section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. Use in men with hepatic impairment The recommended dose of this medicine is 10mg, taken regardless of meals before anticipated sexual activity. Because clinical data on the safety of this medicine in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class C) are limited, the physician should carefully assess the individual benefit/risk when prescribing it. Precautions

This medication is for the treatment of erectile dysfunction; it is essential to confirm the underlying cause through a doctor's diagnosis and physical examination before use. Consider the heart health status before taking this medication, and if cardiovascular symptoms occur during or after sexual activity, stop sexual activity immediately and consult a doctor. If an erection lasts more than 4 hours or is accompanied by pain, seek immediate medical assistance, as untreated cases can lead to penile tissue damage or permanent loss of erectile function. This medication should not be taken with nitrate compounds or NO donors, as it may excessively lower blood pressure. Patients taking such medications must not use this drug. Patients with significant cardiovascular disease such as myocardial infarction, acute cardiac arrest, unstable angina, ventricular arrhythmias, or stroke, or those with a recent history of such conditions, should not use this medication. This medication is contraindicated for patients with certain hereditary retinal diseases or hypersensitivity, and it is not recommended to be used in conjunction with other erectile dysfunction treatments. Patients with penile deformities, blood disorders, or severe kidney or liver dysfunction should use this medication with caution, especially when combined with alpha-blockers or strong CYP3A4 inhibitors. Side effects may include headaches, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, flushing, and nasal congestion, while serious cardiovascular reactions or changes in vision and hearing have been reported rarely. If sudden vision loss or hearing decrease occurs while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Caution is advised when taking this medication with alcohol, as it may cause blood pressure drops or dizziness. In cases of overdose, standard treatment should be sought, and dialysis does not significantly affect the elimination of this medication. This medication is not for use in children, and safety in pregnant women has not been established.
