Adult dose
Gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers: Take 10 mg orally once daily, and may take up to 20 mg once daily depending on symptoms. Erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: Take 10 mg or 20 mg once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. If symptoms persist after 8 weeks of proton pump inhibitor (PPI) treatment, an additional 8 weeks of 10 mg or 20 mg orally twice a day may be administered. Gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms relief: Take 10 mg once daily. If symptoms are not controlled after 4 weeks, further evaluation is required. After symptom resolution, on-demand therapy of 10 mg once daily may be used to control subsequent symptoms. Long-term maintenance therapy for gastroesophageal reflux disease: Depending on the patient, take 10 mg or 20 mg orally once daily. Helicobacter pylori eradication: Patients infected with Helicobacter pylori should undergo eradication therapy. A combination of this drug at 20 mg, clarithromycin 500 mg, and amoxicillin 1 g is recommended to be taken twice daily for 7 days. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: The recommended initial dose for adults is 60 mg once daily. The dosage can be adjusted up to 120 mg once daily based on individual patient needs. Doses up to 100 mg may be given once daily, and 120 mg should be divided and given 60 mg twice daily. Patients with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome have been treated with this medication for up to 1 year. ◯ Liver disease patients: Adverse reactions have been reported in patients with liver cirrhosis undergoing hepatic encephalopathy; thus, it should be administered cautiously. ◯ Pediatric patients: Safety has not been established in children. ◯ Elderly patients: Caution is needed since they often have reduced liver function.

This medication is effective for the treatment of ulcers in the stomach and duodenum, as well as erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease. It helps relieve symptoms caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease and can also be used for long-term maintenance therapy. In patients with gastrointestinal ulcers infected with Helicobacter pylori, it is administered in combination with antibiotics for treatment. It also exhibits efficacy for disorders associated with excessive gastric acid secretion, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This drug effectively improves various gastrointestinal conditions.

How to take
