In children, it is used to treat habitual vomiting and non-infectious gastrointestinal dysfunction, including constipation and diarrhea. Therefore, this medication effectively treats various symptoms related to gastrointestinal diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

For Trimebutine Maleate, the oral dose is 100-200mg taken three times a day before meals. Adjust according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication may affect the digestive system and rarely may cause constipation or diarrhea, sounds of gas in the intestines, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, dry mouth, or unpleasant or bitter sensations in the mouth. Additionally, it may rarely cause cardiovascular side effects such as a rapid heartbeat. It may also affect the central nervous system, where fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, and headache may occur rarely. It can impact liver function and may lead to elevated liver enzyme levels. An allergic reaction such as skin rashes may occur, necessitating discontinuation of the medication if such symptoms arise.
