How to take

Adult dose

The adult maintenance dose is 50 mg of losartan potassium/12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide, taken once daily as one tablet. Hives, severe swelling (edema), angioedema (swelling of lips and eyelids along with facial rash), tightness in the chest, difficulty breathing, angioedema (laryngeal/pharyngeal swelling which may cause airway obstruction, swelling of the face/lips/pharynx/tongue), cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/eye mucosa, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe abdominal pain

Mild side effects

Abdominal pain, swelling/enlargement, palpitations, back pain, dizziness, cough, sinusitis, upper respiratory infection, weakness/fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, headache, bronchitis, pharyngitis, chest pain, facial swelling, fever, orthostatic hypotension, syncope, angina, arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation, sinus bradycardia, tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation), cerebrovascular accident, hypotension, myocardial infarction, secondary atrioventricular block, loss of appetite, constipation, dental pain, dry mouth, indigestion, flatulence, gastritis, vomiting
