Precautions

This medication is for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and it is essential to confirm the underlying cause through a physician's diagnosis and physical examination before use. Sexual activity can put a strain on the heart, so patients with cardiovascular disease should take particular caution, and should stop immediately and consult a doctor if they experience heart-related symptoms during sexual activity. This medication can rarely cause priapism lasting more than 4 hours or associated with pain, so seek medical assistance immediately if these symptoms occur. Taking this medication in combination with nitrate compounds or NO donor drugs can lower blood pressure to dangerous levels, so it should not be used if you are taking these medications. Patients with severe cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, unstable angina, or stroke should not use this medication, and those with a history of such conditions are also prohibited from using it. Patients with genetic retinal disease or specific allergies should not take this medication. Using it in conjunction with other erectile dysfunction treatments is not recommended as safety has not been established. Patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function should have their dosage adjusted or the use of this medication carefully determined by a physician. Caution is needed when taking this medication with alpha-blockers, as symptoms of low blood pressure may occur when used together. This medication may cause side effects such as headaches, dyspepsia, back pain, myalgia, flushing, and may cause other adverse reactions which are generally mild or temporary. Serious side effects such as cardiovascular adverse reactions, sudden loss of vision, or hearing loss are rare; seek immediate medical attention if these symptoms occur. Pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children should not take this medication. While it does not significantly affect driving or operating machinery, some individuals may experience dizziness, so caution is advised. In cases of overdose, standard treatment should be sought; hemodialysis has little effect on the elimination of this medication. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and should preferably be stored in its original packaging.
