Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with skin infections due to bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals as it may worsen symptoms. It should also not be used in patients allergic to this medication or its ingredients, those with perforated eardrums suffering from otitis externa, patients with ulcers or severe burns, those with perioral dermatitis, acne vulgaris, rosacea, pruritus ani, and in children under 2 years of age. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, the elderly, and those allergic to propylene glycol contained in this medication should use it with caution. There may be a risk of skin infection, and various skin side effects such as skin irritation, itching, rashes, and skin dryness can occur, so the medication should be discontinued if symptoms appear. With prolonged use, thinning of the skin or color changes, acne-like symptoms, etc. may occur, making it necessary to reduce the dosage or switch to another medication. If this medication is used over large areas for long periods or with occlusive dressings, it may affect the hormonal system, requiring regular check-ups. Care should be taken when applying near the eyes, as it can lead to increased intraocular pressure or eye diseases such as glaucoma. As a general principle, it should not be used for eczemas or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections; however, if necessary, it should be used in conjunction with appropriate antimicrobials or antifungals. Discontinue use as soon as symptoms improve, and stop immediately if symptoms do not improve or worsen. Pregnant and nursing women should avoid extensive or prolonged use of this medication, and if treatment is necessary, it should be used cautiously based on a physician's judgment. Children have a larger skin surface area relative to body weight, which increases the risk of side effects, so continuous use for more than 3 weeks should be avoided, and caution is especially needed in diaper areas. The elderly may also be more susceptible to side effects, so careful observation is required during large or prolonged use. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes and should not be used for non-therapeutic purposes such as after shaving or applying makeup; occlusive dressings should be used only under the direction of a physician. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children.
