Precautions

Patients who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day should consult with their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as it may cause gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may affect the cardiovascular system and increase the risk of serious thrombotic reactions such as heart attack or stroke. Caution is especially necessary for individuals with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors, and they should discontinue use immediately if symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath occur. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal issues such as bleeding, ulcers, or perforations. These side effects may be more severe in the elderly and in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders or those on anticoagulants. Rarely, serious allergic reactions or skin conditions, such as dermatitis or life-threatening hypersensitivity reactions like anaphylaxis, may occur. If skin rashes or mucosal damage occur, patients should stop taking the medication immediately. This medication can impact kidney function; hence, individuals with renal diseases or impaired kidney function should use it cautiously. Attention is also required for patients with liver dysfunction or liver disease. Women should avoid this medication if planning to conceive, as it may decrease fertility. In case of overdose, nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding, and in severe cases acute renal failure or liver failure, as well as loss of consciousness may occur, hence immediate medical attention is required. There is no antidote, so gastric lavage and supportive treatment are necessary. Store this medication out of reach of children, in its original sealed container to maintain quality.
