This medication is used for patients who need to take both pitavastatin calcium and valsartan. Pitavastatin calcium is a drug that lowers bad cholesterol and lipid levels in the blood while increasing good cholesterol levels, aiding cardiovascular health in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. Valsartan is effective in treating essential hypertension and managing heart failure and can be used in heart failure patients who do not tolerate ACE inhibitors well. It also helps reduce the risk of death in patients with decreased left ventricular function after myocardial infarction. This combination of medications is used to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease by controlling blood pressure and lipid levels.
