Precautions

It is very important that this medication is not used in certain patients. Patients who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or any of its ingredients should not take it. Additionally, patients with orthostatic hypotension may experience worsening symptoms and should avoid this medication. Patients with severely impaired liver function may have increased blood concentration leading to a higher risk of side effects when taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should also not use this medication. Patients with severe renal impairment should use this medication with caution, and elderly patients should be more careful when administering it. There can be interactions that lead to side effects if taken with other blood pressure-lowering medications, PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, etc. Notably, patients taking alpha-1 blockers should generally avoid this medication but may use it very cautiously if necessary. Patients with a history of urinary syncopes should also use this medication cautiously. While taking this medication, blood pressure may suddenly drop, leading to fainting or loss of consciousness, so symptoms should be closely monitored. Neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, headache, insomnia, and decreased libido may occur, requiring caution. Cardiovascular issues such as rapid heartbeat, arrhythmias, and low blood pressure may also occur. If allergic reactions such as rashes or itching develop, discontinue use immediately. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, diarrhea, and there have been reports of liver dysfunction or jaundice. Other symptoms may include nasal congestion, nosebleeds, edema, gynecomastia, priapism, visual disturbances; hence, any abnormal symptoms should be consulted with a healthcare professional. In cases of overdose, a significant drop in blood pressure may occur, so dosage should be carefully monitored, and changes in posture should be observed for blood pressure fluctuations. If there is no therapeutic effect, consider surgical or other treatment methods. Due to dizziness, working at heights or driving may be hazardous, so caution is advised. This medication requires caution for patients with specific allergy histories, and safety has not been established for women, therefore it should not be used by them. It should also not be used in children as there are no indications. The elderly may have decreased renal function, so starting with a lower dose and observing for effects and side effects should help determine whether to increase the dose. When taking this medication, swallow it whole from the packaging; do not chew or open the capsule. Particularly, this medication is a sustained-release formulation, so improper use may alter its effect. Store out of reach of children, and do not transfer to other containers as this ensures safety and helps maintain quality. There may be interactions with other medications while taking this one, so inform your healthcare professional of all medications being taken. Particularly, the risk of side effects may increase if taken with blood pressure medications, PDE5 inhibitors, or CYP3A4 inhibitors. In animal studies during pregnancy, significant issues were not found; however, safety has not been established in humans, so women who may become pregnant should avoid taking it.
