For example, individuals who are allergic to this medication or its components, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and individuals with genetic disorders such as lactose intolerance should not take this medication. Patients with heart disease or problems with heart rhythm, patients with a history of gastric ulcers or those currently taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, individuals with asthma or obstructive pulmonary disease, and patients with extrapyramidal disorders such as Parkinson's disease should use this medication cautiously. Additionally, individuals who have allergic reactions to the dyes included in this medication should also be careful when taking it. Serious side effects may develop while taking this medication; if symptoms such as fainting, irregular heartbeats, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver dysfunction, seizures, muscle pain, or difficulty breathing occur, immediate consultation with a doctor is necessary. Although used for improving dementia symptoms, various side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, insomnia, hallucinations, and heart problems may arise; therefore, close observation of any changes in symptoms is required. This medication may affect heart rhythm, so patients with heart disease or a history of QT interval prolongation may need an electrocardiogram. Additionally, this medication promotes gastric acid secretion and increases gastrointestinal motility, which may worsen peptic ulcers; hence, individuals with gastric disorders should proceed with caution. It may affect the ability to drive or operate machinery, hence caution is required at the beginning of treatment or with any dosage changes as dizziness or fatigue may be experienced. Women who are pregnant or nursing are advised not to use this medication, and in cases of necessity, should consult with a healthcare professional before making a decision. This medication may interact with other drugs, so it is important to inform the doctor of any other medications currently being taken, particularly when combined with heart medications, antidepressants, antibiotics, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, sweating, decreased heart rate, and difficulty breathing may occur; therefore, strict adherence to the prescribed dosage is necessary, and in case of overdose, immediate hospital visit is required. Lastly, this medication should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers could adversely affect its quality.
