View approved original text

This medication is used to reduce elevated triglyceride levels in patients with hypertriglyceridemia. It is particularly effective as monotherapy for endogenous hypertriglyceridemia (type IV), and can be used in combination with statin medications in cases of combined hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (type IIb). Additionally, it is used in combination therapy with statins for patients with complex conditions where triglyceride levels are not controlled, improving blood lipid levels. This medication serves as an adjunct to dietary therapy to effectively lower blood triglycerides and support vascular health.
