This medication is used to relieve edema caused by varicose veins and superficial phlebitis, as well as trauma from accidents and contusions during exercise, and inflammatory pain such as tendinitis.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply a thin layer to the wound or infected area several times a day, then gently rub the skin.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with hypersensitivity to salicylates. It is also advisable for women who are due to give birth in 4 weeks not to use this medication. Additionally, this medication should not be applied to mucous membranes or open wounds. Individuals allergic to the components of this medication should also avoid using it. Newborns and children should avoid prolonged use over extensive areas and should consult a professional before use. Patients with impaired kidney function should be cautious, as this medication can be absorbed significantly through the skin, posing a risk of toxicity. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should refrain from prolonged use over large areas. Nursing women should not apply this medication to the breast area, as it can be transmitted to the baby through breast milk. Dermatitis or contact allergies may occur during use, so if any unusual symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Signs of toxicity may present due to high concentrations of salicylic acid, including tinnitus, nosebleeds, nausea, vomiting, itching, and dry skin; if these symptoms occur, consult a specialist immediately. This medication must be used strictly according to the prescribed method and dosage, and children should be supervised by a guardian when using it. If symptoms do not improve after 5 to 6 days of use, discontinue and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Using it over large areas at high concentrations can increase the toxicity of other medications, so caution is advised.
