It is safer for women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as for nursing mothers, to avoid using this medication. Caution is required for the elderly, patients with impaired kidney function, and those with hyperkalemia while using this drug, and regular blood tests to check kidney function and serum potassium levels are important. Hypotensive patients and those with heart failure should be especially cautious as blood pressure may drop too low, and they should consult healthcare providers immediately if symptoms appear. This medication may have an enhanced effect when used with other antihypertensive agents, so it should be used according to a physician’s instructions when combined. Additionally, caution is needed as concomitant use with certain diuretics or potassium supplements may dangerously elevate serum potassium levels. Dizziness may occur while driving or operating machinery, so caution is warranted. In the event of an overdose, symptomatic hypotension and dizziness may occur, necessitating urgent treatment.
