This medication is used to effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for adults is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established; therefore, its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm or death to the fetus if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Individuals allergic to the active ingredient or similar medications, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and those with severe kidney or liver disease should not take this medication. Patients with sodium or fluid depletion, hyperkalemia, renal artery stenosis, recent kidney transplant, or a history of angioedema should use this medication very cautiously under strict medical supervision. Patients with heart failure or those who have had a myocardial infarction, aortic stenosis, or obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy should also exercise caution when taking this medication. This medication may cause various side effects such as hypotension, dizziness, headache, edema, rash, and gastrointestinal disturbances; any unusual symptoms should be discussed with healthcare professionals immediately. Caution is advised when operating vehicles or machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive drugs, potassium supplements, diuretics, certain anti-inflammatories, and lithium preparations; it's essential to inform healthcare providers about any other medications being taken. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to take this medication, and it should also be avoided if pregnancy is planned. Use is not recommended for children under 18 years old, as safety and efficacy have not been established. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or heart-related issues may occur; thus, the prescribed dosage must be strictly followed, and immediate medical attention should be sought in case of overdose. Dose adjustments may be necessary for patients with liver and kidney function impairment, and regular blood tests and monitoring of physical condition are required.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in the mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, asthma attacks, respiratory issues accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), profound lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, vision disturbances, paralysis, urination.
