This medication is used for acute and chronic enteritis, acute and chronic diarrhea, acute dysentery, and gastrointestinal diseases associated with abnormal fermentation in the intestine.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 2 capsules 3 times a day. (Take 4 capsules for the first dose.)

Child dose

Children: Take 1 capsule 3 times a day. Infants can take the contents of the capsule mixed with a small amount of water or milk.

Precautions

This medication needs to be used with caution when combined with certain antibiotics. It is especially advisable to avoid using it together with ciprofloxacin, imipenem, and cilastatin sodium. Since it contains lactose, it should not be used in patients with genetic disorders affecting lactose digestion. Examples include galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, and glucose-galactose malabsorption. Patients receiving treatment from a physician should be more cautious when using this medication. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and administration carefully when using the medication. If symptoms do not improve after about one month of use, the medication should be stopped, and a pharmacist or doctor must be consulted.
