This medication is used to effectively lower and control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty achieving control with monotherapy of Amlodipine or Olmesartan Medoxomil. This helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications and maintain healthy blood pressure levels.

How to take

Adult dose

The usual dose for adults is one tablet daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., morning). The recommended dosages are as follows: - 5/20 mg: Administer to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Amlodipine 5 mg or Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg monotherapy. - 10/20 mg: Administer to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg monotherapy.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to any of the ingredients in this medication, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients with severe liver disease, certain heart diseases, biliary obstruction, those undergoing renal dialysis, patients in a state of shock, and diabetic patients with specific kidney disorders should not take this medication. Patients with insufficient body fluid or sodium may experience symptoms of hypotension, so careful monitoring of their condition is required at the beginning of treatment, and appropriate measures should be taken if hypotension occurs. Patients with cardiovascular disease should be cautious as suddenly dilating blood vessels may lead to hypotension. Patients with impaired renal function should be cautious as this medication may worsen their kidney function, and patients with impaired liver function should also be cautious as it may affect drug metabolism. When taking this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, orthostatic hypotension, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, diarrhea, skin rash, and edema may occur. If any unusual symptoms arise, consult a doctor. This medication should not be used during pregnancy due to the risks it poses to the fetus, and those planning to become pregnant or currently pregnant should consult their doctor. Women who are breastfeeding are advised to stop breastfeeding or discontinue the medication, as it may be transmitted to breast milk. It is not recommended for children under 18 years old, as safety and efficacy have not been established for this age group. Elderly patients should start at a low dose and take it cautiously, considering decreased liver, kidney, heart function, and other diseases. In case of overdose, severe hypotension, vasodilation, and tachycardia may occur, so immediate medical attention should be sought. This medication should be stored in a cool, dry place away from children and protected from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. Transferring to a different container is to be avoided.
