This medication is used to treat gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease. It also alleviates symptoms caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease and prevents symptom recurrence with long-term treatment. For patients with gastrointestinal ulcers infected with Helicobacter pylori, it is used in conjunction with antibiotics to effectively aid in treatment. Lastly, it is used for Zollinger-Ellison syndrome to improve issues related to excessive gastric acid secretion. Overall, this medication is effective for the treatment of various gastrointestinal diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

For gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers: Administer 10 mg orally once daily, may increase to 20 mg once daily depending on symptoms. For erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: Administer 10 mg or 20 mg once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. If not resolved after 8 weeks, may increase to 10 mg or 20 mg twice daily.
