  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

Amlodipine or Olmesartan Medoxomil is prescribed for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with monotherapy. These medications effectively lower blood pressure and help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. The two drugs stabilize blood pressure through different mechanisms, improving patient health. Managing hypertension plays a crucial role in reducing the likelihood of complications such as heart disease and stroke. Therefore, Amlodipine or Olmesartan Medoxomil is used to treat essential hypertension.
