Treatment of skin fungal infections (tinea, cutaneous candidiasis, tinea versicolor) causing inflammation and itching.
This medication is used for skin fungal infections including tinea, cutaneous candidiasis, and tinea versicolor that are accompanied by clinical symptoms of inflammation, itching, and eczema.
Apply a suitable amount to the affected area once or twice daily (morning or morning and evening). After acute symptoms resolve, use a non-steroidal medication.
Particularly in young children, avoid using for long periods on large areas.
This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial or viral skin infections as it may worsen symptoms. Additionally, it should not be used by patients who are allergic or hypersensitive to this drug or its ingredients. Patients with otitis externa with a perforated eardrum should avoid using it as it may delay wound healing. This medication should also not be used on ulcerated, severely burned, or frostbitten areas as it may hinder skin regeneration. It is advisable not to use this medication for specific skin conditions such as perioral dermatitis, acne, and rosacea. It is safe for nursing women not to use this medication. Avoid using it on areas with wounds or vaccine reactions, as well as on extensive body areas. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use it cautiously, particularly during the first three months, and it should be used carefully in infants and children under guardian supervision. When using this medication, signs of infection on the skin or allergic reactions such as rash, redness, itching, or swelling may occur, and use should be discontinued immediately if such symptoms appear. Prolonged or extensive use may lead to side effects such as skin thinning or vascular dilation, which should be monitored. When used in large amounts or for a long time, hormonal function may be suppressed, requiring regular examinations. Caution is needed when applying it around the eyes as it may increase intraocular pressure or the risk of glaucoma; if symptoms like blurred vision occur, ophthalmic evaluation is necessary. This medication must be used according to the prescribed dosage and should not be used for longer than 7 days. Sealing the skin with diapers or bandages may enhance drug absorption, necessitating caution. If used with latex contraceptive devices, care is needed to prevent damage to the device. Pregnant or nursing individuals should consult a physician before use as this medication may affect the fetus or infant. Children are at a higher risk of side effects due to increased drug absorption relative to body weight, so use should be limited to the minimum necessary amount. In case of overdose, emergency treatment such as gastric lavage should be done immediately, and this medication is for external use only; it must not be taken orally. After use, keep it out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry, sealed place.
Severe allergic reactions (hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor), severe skin adverse reactions (rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain of mucous membranes in the mouth/eyes), respiratory problems (shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory issues accompanied by cough and fever), liver abnormalities (yellowing of skin or eyes, extreme lethargy), severe neurological symptoms (sudden and strong malaise)
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. The storage temperature should be maintained between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. This will help preserve the medication's effectiveness for a longer time.
