Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. Those who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients, patients with orthostatic hypotension with sudden drops in blood pressure, patients with severe liver dysfunction, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and individuals with genetic issues such as lactose intolerance should not take this medication. Additionally, patients with severely impaired kidney function or the elderly, as well as those taking certain medications (e.g., PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, antihypertensives, alpha-1 blockers) should use this medication cautiously, and especially when taking alpha-1 blockers, it is generally not administered unless absolutely necessary and only with careful monitoring. While taking this medication, side effects such as fainting, dizziness, drowsiness, headaches, low blood pressure, abnormal heartbeat, allergic reactions (rash, itching, etc.), indigestion, liver dysfunction, etc. may occur, so if any unusual symptoms arise, the medication should be stopped immediately and a healthcare provider consulted. This medication can lower blood pressure, so care should be taken to avoid overdose, and since dizziness may occur when standing up, it is safer to change positions slowly. Additionally, this medication is a treatment to alleviate symptoms and does not treat the underlying cause, so if no effect is observed, alternative treatment methods should be considered. Caution is needed when performing dangerous tasks such as driving or operating machinery due to potential dizziness or drowsiness that could lead to accidents. This medication may cause eye-related complications during certain surgeries, so patients scheduled for cataract or glaucoma surgery should inform their doctor. Patients with sulfa drug allergies may experience allergic reactions when taking this medication, so caution is advised. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive agents or certain antibiotics, antifungals, antidepressants, etc., which could increase the risk of side effects, so it is essential to inform healthcare providers of all current medications. It is not used in pregnant women or nursing mothers, and its safety and efficacy in children under 18 have not been established. The elderly may have impaired kidney function, so treatment should start at a lower dose and be monitored. This medication should be taken directly from the packaging as is, and caution should be exercised as crushing or opening capsules may alter the effect of the medication. Keep out of reach of children, and avoid transferring it to other containers as this could lead to quality degradation or accidental risks.
