This medication is used to improve symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, and dyspepsia due to the reflux of stomach contents related to gastroesophageal reflux. It is particularly effective for symptoms that occur after meals or during pregnancy, as well as in cases associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease. It alleviates uncomfortable symptoms and helps with digestive function.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children over 12: Take 10 to 20 mL four times a day (after meals and before bedtime).

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this medication or its components. Patients with congestive heart failure or kidney function impairment that require sodium intake restriction must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Patients with hypercalcemia or calcium deposition in the kidneys, as well as recurrent calcium kidney stone sufferers, should also consult a specialist before taking this medication. Children under 12 years of age should not take this medication without a doctor’s guidance. If itching, difficulty breathing, or severe allergic reactions occur during the course of this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult medical personnel. Overdose may lead to side effects such as increased gastric acid secretion, constipation, and hypercalcemia, so adherence to recommended dosage is required. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for more than 7 days, consult a doctor. Overdosing this medication can cause abdominal bloating, and immediate hospital treatment is essential. This medication contains calcium carbonate, and when taken with other medications, a gap of at least 2 hours should be maintained to reduce drug interactions. This medication contains the sweetener saccharin, which may have health impacts if used in large amounts over a long period, so caution is needed. Keep out of reach of children, and it is essential to store it tightly closed in its original container.
