In other words, it is used to effectively relieve discomfort from joint diseases, acute pain, and symptoms of dysmenorrhea.
The minimum recommended dose of this medicine should be adjusted for each patient and may be taken with or without food. Osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis): Take celecoxib 200 mg once daily or 100 mg twice daily. Rheumatoid arthritis: Take celecoxib 100 mg or 200 mg twice daily. Ankylosing spondylitis (AS): Administer celecoxib 200 mg once daily or 100 mg twice daily. If no effect is observed after 6 weeks, the dose may be increased to up to 400 mg per day. Acute pain and primary dysmenorrhea: The initial recommended dose is celecoxib 400 mg, with an additional 200 mg on the first day of treatment if needed. From the second day of treatment, the recommended dose, if needed, is 200 mg twice daily. During treatment, various side effects such as indigestion, abdominal pain, vomiting, dizziness, headaches, skin rashes, etc., may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms appear, immediate consultation with a physician is necessary. There are many interactions with other drugs; special caution is needed when used with medications affecting liver metabolism, antihypertensives, diuretics, anticoagulants, etc., and dose adjustments may be required based on a physician's instructions. Women who are or plan to become pregnant should not take this medication as it may affect the fetus, and breastfeeding mothers should also consult with a professional before use. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established for children and adolescents under 18, so it is advisable not to use it. Elderly patients may have decreased liver, kidney, and cardiac functions, requiring more careful monitoring during use. Patients taking this medication long-term should have regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests to check for abnormalities.
