Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension for whom blood pressure control is difficult with amlodipine or valsartan monotherapy alone. It helps to control blood pressure more effectively and reduce the risk of complications when monotherapy does not sufficiently lower blood pressure.
The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day if possible (e.g., in the morning). 5/80 mg: Used for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 5 mg or valsartan 80 mg monotherapy. 5/160 mg: Used for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 5 mg or valsartan 160 mg monotherapy.
Safety and efficacy in patients under 18 years of age have not been established, thus the use of this medication is not recommended.
