Rodivica Tablet 5/20 mg (Escitalopram Nicotinate, Olmesartan Medoxomil)

Adult dose

This medication is administered as 1 tablet once daily, with or without food. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). The recommended dosages are as follows: - 2.5/20 mg: administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with Escitalopram 2.5 mg (Amlodipine 5 mg) or Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg. - 5/20 mg: administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg monotherapy.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established.

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately once pregnancy is confirmed. It should not be used in those with hypersensitivity to any ingredient of this medication, as well as in pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe liver impairment, patients with severe aortic stenosis, patients with biliary obstruction, patients undergoing renal dialysis, patients in shock, or certain diabetic patients. Care should be taken when administering to hypotensive patients who are deficient in body fluids or sodium, as hypotension may occur, and appropriate action should be taken if hypotension develops. Cases of acute vascular dilation leading to excessive drops in blood pressure have been rarely reported; therefore, patients with aortic stenosis should be especially cautious. Use with caution in patients with weakened cardiac function, such as congestive heart failure, or in patients with impaired renal function, as renal function may worsen, requiring close monitoring of their condition. Side effects may include dizziness, headache, hypotension, edema, dyspepsia, rash, etc. If any abnormal symptoms occur, consult a healthcare professional. In particular, pregnant women should consult a doctor if planning to become pregnant or if pregnant, as risks to the fetus may arise. For nursing mothers, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding or discontinue medication because it may be transmitted through breast milk. The safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, and usage is not recommended. Elderly patients may have impaired renal and liver function, so they should start with a lower dosage and be administered carefully. Drug interactions may occur when used in combination with other medications, so it is essential to inform healthcare providers about other ongoing treatments, especially avoiding grapefruit juice co-administration. In case of overdose, symptoms may include hypotension and cardiovascular side effects, so care must be taken not to exceed the prescribed dosage, and healthcare professionals should be notified immediately if abnormal symptoms appear. Store the medication out of the reach of children and protect it from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.
