How to take

Adult dose

1. Intestinal bubble removal during gastric endoscopy: Administer 40-80 mg of simethicone orally with approximately 10 mL of water 15-40 minutes prior to the examination. 2. Intestinal gas removal during abdominal X-ray: Start taking 40-80 mg three times a day after meals or in between meals 3-4 days prior to the examination. 3. Improvement of abdominal symptoms caused by intestinal gas: Administer 40-80 mg three times a day after meals or at bedtime.

Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame. Aspartame is broken down into phenylalanine in the body, hence it should not be used by patients with phenylketonuria, a hereditary condition that requires restricting phenylalanine intake. This medication contains sodium metabisulfite, which may cause allergic reactions. Patients with asthma may be particularly sensitive to this ingredient and should use caution. During use, gastrointestinal symptoms such as loose stools, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pressure, and decreased appetite may occur. Additionally, headaches may rarely occur. This medication contains sodium benzoate as a preservative, which may cause mild irritation to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes, so caution is advised. Before use, the bottle should be shaken well to mix the contents properly. Store out of reach of children, keep away from direct sunlight, and store tightly closed in a cool, dry place.
