This medication is used for the treatment of patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by Amlodipine or Olmesartan Medoxomil alone. Essential hypertension can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, so these medications help to effectively lower blood pressure and improve health.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily, with or without food, taken with water. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). The recommended dosing is as follows: - 5/20 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by Amlodipine 5 mg or Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg alone. - 10/20 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg alone.

Child dose

Precautions

This drug may cause severe harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This drug should not be used by individuals allergic to its main ingredients or similar substances, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients with severe liver impairment or aortic stenosis, patients undergoing dialysis, patients in a state of shock, and specific diabetic patients. In patients with low blood pressure caused by fluid or electrolyte depletion, symptoms of hypotension may occur, so administration should be done with careful observation of the condition. It may pose risks to the fetus during pregnancy, so those planning to become pregnant or who are pregnant should consult a doctor. Breastfeeding women should discontinue breastfeeding or the medication, as it can be transmitted through breast milk and may affect the baby. Children under 18 years of age should not use this medication as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Elderly patients should start at a lower dosage, considering potential declines in kidney and liver function, and their condition should be carefully observed. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension and cardiovascular issues may occur, and immediate medical attention is required. This drug is sensitive to moisture, heat, and light, so it should be stored in a cool, dry place out of reach of children. Additionally, there may be interactions when taken with other medications, so inform a doctor or pharmacist of any other drugs being taken.
