Relief of symptoms such as eczema, dermatitis, and itchy skin
This medication is used to relieve symptoms caused by inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis, as well as itching and insect bites.
After shaking well before use, apply an appropriate amount to the affected area (area of disease) 1 to 3 times a day, adjusting according to symptoms.
This medication should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may worsen the condition. Patients allergic to this medication or with a history of hypersensitivity should not use it. This medication should not be used in patients with ear canal infections with tympanic membrane perforation as it may delay wound healing. Its use is not recommended in patients with skin ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as skin regeneration may be delayed. It should also not be used in cases of dermatitis around the mouth, common acne, rosacea, or non-inflammatory itching. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should use this medication cautiously and only after consulting a doctor, limiting the dosage and duration to the minimum required. Particularly, caution should be exercised in children under 2 years of age and the elderly as the risk of side effects from this medication is higher. If symptoms of bacterial or fungal infection occur in the skin while using this medication, it must be discontinued immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. Long-term or extensive use of this medication may lead to skin thinning, pigmentation changes, or side effects related to acne, so the dosage and duration should be adjusted accordingly. If this medication is absorbed in significant amounts, systemic side effects such as adrenal insufficiency, weight gain, increased blood sugar, and hypertension may occur, necessitating regular monitoring. Caution is advised when using it around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, and if symptoms such as blurred vision occur, ophthalmological consultation is required. This medication should generally not be used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, but if necessary, it should be used in conjunction with antibiotics or antifungals. Abrupt discontinuation of this medication may lead to adverse reactions such as adrenal insufficiency, so it is important to gradually reduce the dosage upon symptom improvement before completely stopping. The treatment period is usually limited to within 7 days, and it is safest to discontinue use as soon as symptoms improve. The effects on driving or operating machinery are not known, but it is not expected to impair ability due to pharmacological effects. Pregnant or nursing women should use this medication minimally, and it should not be applied to the breast during breastfeeding. Children or the elderly should be closely monitored under a doctor's guidance due to heightened sensitivity of their skin and increased risk of side effects. Overuse may result in systemic side effects, thus appropriate management under a doctor’s instructions is necessary. This medication is not intended for ophthalmic use and should not be used for purposes other than treatment after makeup or shaving. When using an occlusive dressing, the affected area must be kept clean under a doctor's supervision, and prolonged use on the face is not recommended. Lastly, this medication should be kept out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
