This medicine is used for patients who need to take both telmisartan and rosuvastatin together. Telmisartan helps treat essential hypertension and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Particularly in patients over 55 years old who belong to high-risk groups, it reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular mortality. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct to diet for patients with hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, lowering LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol levels to slow the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, hence lowering the risks of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization. This medicine is used to improve these cardiovascular risk factors.
