Individuals with heart disease or those who have recently experienced heart problems should check their cardiac status before using this medication; it is not recommended for patients with severe cardiovascular disease. Since this medication has the potential to temporarily lower blood pressure through vasodilation, special caution is advised during sexual activities for individuals with cardiovascular conditions. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours or is accompanied by pain, immediate medical attention should be sought, as untreated conditions can lead to penile tissue damage or loss of erectile function. Patients with certain heart valve disorders or reduced blood pressure regulation may be sensitive to the vasodilatory effects of this medication and therefore should be cautious. When taken alongside certain antiviral drugs, such as Ritonavir, this medication may significantly increase blood concentration, raising the risk of side effects; therefore, dosage adjustments or avoidance is advised. The artificial sweetener aspartame present in this medication may be harmful to individuals with phenylketonuria, and they should avoid its use. This medication is not intended for use in individuals under the age of 18 or in women. Patients with hypersensitivity, specific cardiovascular diseases, hypotension, or severe liver or kidney dysfunction should avoid using this medication. Elderly patients may experience increased blood concentration of this medication; therefore, starting at a lower dose is advisable. If sudden vision loss or hearing decrease occurs while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery, as visual disturbances or dizziness may occur. It is also safe to avoid the use of this medication alongside other erectile dysfunction treatments, and it does not provide protection against sexually transmitted diseases. In case of overdose, symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, indigestion, visual disturbances may worsen; therefore, adherence to recommended doses is essential, and in case of overdose, immediate consultation with a medical institution is required.
