Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals. In particular, infections such as tuberculosis, syphilis, candidiasis, ringworm, herpes zoster, herpes simplex, chickenpox, scabies, and pediculosis may worsen symptoms. Patients allergic to this medication or its ingredients should also not use it. Patients with eczematous otitis externa with tympanic membrane perforation should avoid using this medication as healing may be delayed. It is advisable not to apply to areas with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite on the skin. Additionally, it is not to be administered to patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, and itching around the anus and genitals. The use in infants under 2 years old is prohibited. Pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, infants, and the elderly should exercise particular caution when using this medication. This drug contains propylene glycol, so patients allergic to this ingredient should use it cautiously. Although it is generally not used for eczemas or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, if necessary, it should be used with appropriate antibacterial or antifungal agents. Long-term or extensive use may lead to systemic side effects, necessitating regular check-ups. If any abnormal reactions such as rashes, itching, irritation, redness, or pustular dermatitis occur during use, discontinue use immediately. Caution is needed when applying around the eyes as there may be a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma. Pregnant or nursing women should avoid prolonged or large-scale use of this medication and only use it when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks. In children, due to their larger skin area relative to weight, the risk of side effects is higher, so continuous use should not exceed three weeks. The elderly are also susceptible to side effects, requiring careful monitoring during prolonged or extensive use. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes and should not be applied after cosmetics or shaving. The use of occlusive dressings should always be under the supervision of a physician, and the affected area should be kept clean. Keep out of reach of children to prevent safety incidents.
