Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be administered to patients allergic to any of its components, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients with severe liver disease or certain cardiovascular and renal conditions, and certain genetically predisposed lactose-intolerant patients. Patients with fluid or salt depletion should be closely monitored during the initial doses, as blood pressure may drop too low. Care should also be taken when using this medication in patients who may experience rapid vascular dilation leading to hypotension. Particular care should be taken in patients with heart disease or renal function issues, and those with impaired liver function when taking this medication. While taking this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headache, blood pressure drop, indigestion, and skin rash may occur, so patients should consult healthcare professionals if symptoms are severe or persistent. This medication may interact with other drugs, so patients should inform their doctors or pharmacists of any other medications they are currently taking. It is generally advised not to use this medication during pregnancy. If planning to get pregnant or if pregnant, patients should consult their doctor to find safe alternative treatments. Breastfeeding women should also be aware that this medication can be transmitted through breast milk and may affect the infant, so it is recommended to either stop breastfeeding or discontinue this medication. Safety and efficacy have not been established for use in children under the age of 18. In elderly patients, drug responses may vary due to decreased physical function, so it is preferable to start with a low dose and administer it carefully. In the case of overdose, hypotension and decreased cardiac function may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to sunlight, moisture, and heat, and kept out of reach of children; transferring it to another container may compromise its quality.
