This medication is used for patients who require both valsartan and rosuvastatin at the same time. Valsartan helps reduce the risk of mortality from essential hypertension, heart failure, and post-myocardial infarction. It is particularly effective for heart failure patients intolerant to ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin is used for dyslipidemias such as hypercholesterolemia, lowering total and LDL cholesterol levels, thereby delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. It also reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and decreases the likelihood of stroke and myocardial infarction. Thus, this medication is used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, heart failure, and hyperlipidemia.
