This medication is used to relieve pain associated with inflammatory diseases of the joints and cartilage, such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis, as well as pain caused by periarthritis of the shoulder, low back pain, sciatica, and non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 200 mg once a day. This medication should not be chewed or crushed but taken whole. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, the lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

This drug may pose a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages per day, so consultation with a physician or pharmacist is essential. This drug may increase the risk to the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems, so patients with risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, or diabetes should use it with caution. It may cause serious gastrointestinal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, so elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should exercise particular caution. Patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, allergies to this medication or similar drugs, and those in late pregnancy or breastfeeding should not take this medication. Patients with impaired kidney or liver function, heart failure, elderly patients, or asthma patients require strict monitoring by a physician when using this drug. This medication may cause various side effects, including dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, elevated liver enzymes, and skin rashes; any abnormal symptoms must be reported to medical staff immediately. There are many potential drug interactions; therefore, patients taking anticoagulants, diuretics, or blood pressure medications must consult with a physician. In pregnancy, especially during the last three months, this drug should not be used as it may harm the fetus, and women who plan to become pregnant should exercise caution.
