This medication is used to treat essential hypertension in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or olmesartan medoxomil. It effectively lowers blood pressure and reduces the burden on blood vessels and the heart. Through effective management of hypertension, the risk of serious complications such as stroke and myocardial infarction can be reduced. Patients should ensure treatment effectiveness through regular doses and regular blood pressure monitoring. For safe use, it is important to strictly follow the doctor's instructions. How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered as one tablet once daily, regardless of meals, with water. It is recommended to take it at the same time daily (e.g., in the morning) if possible. Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. This medication should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to its active ingredients, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in patients with severe liver impairment or aortic stenosis, in patients with biliary obstruction, patients undergoing renal dialysis, patients in shock, and certain diabetic patients. Patients with low blood pressure due to fluid or electrolyte depletion may experience initial hypotensive symptoms, so careful monitoring is required during administration. Rapid expansion of blood vessels may lead to hypotension, thus it should be used cautiously in patients with severe aortic stenosis, obstructive coronary artery disease, or congestive heart failure. Patients with impaired kidney function are at risk of worsening kidney function, so caution is needed. In patients with reduced liver function, since this medication is metabolized in the liver, dose adjustments and caution are necessary. During the use of this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, nausea, rash, swelling may occur, and if symptoms are severe, it is important to consult a doctor. Particularly during pregnancy, this medication can cause serious harm to the fetus, therefore, if pregnancy is planned or occurs, it is essential to discuss with a doctor. During breastfeeding, since this medication may pass into breast milk and cause adverse reactions in infants, it is recommended to either cease breastfeeding or discontinue the medication. It is not recommended for children under 18 years of age as safety and effectiveness have not been established. In the elderly, as kidney and liver function may be reduced, dosing should start at a low dose and be adjusted carefully.
