Improvement of excess gastric acid and heartburn
Used for symptoms related to the gastrointestinal tract such as excess gastric acid, heartburn, and belching.
For individuals 16 years and older, 1 tablet (75 mg) can be taken once, up to a maximum of 2 tablets (150 mg) per day.
This medication should not be taken by those who are hypersensitive to any ingredient in this medication. Individuals who have difficulty swallowing food, experience pain while swallowing, or have vomiting of blood or blood in stool should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If heartburn symptoms persist for more than 3 months or occur with dizziness, cold sweat, or symptoms of lightheadedness, consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. Be cautious if chest or shoulder pain is accompanied by shortness of breath, or if chest pain occurs frequently, there is unexplained weight loss, nausea, vomiting, or gastrointestinal pain. Individuals who are taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain relievers, have a history of hypersensitivity to the medication, have renal or liver function issues, elderly patients, or those with a history of acute porphyria should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women, as well as nursing mothers, should also consult with a doctor before taking this medication, as it can cross the placenta and may appear in breast milk. This medication can affect the absorption, metabolism, and excretion of other drugs; therefore, if you are currently taking any other medications, consult with a healthcare professional. If symptoms persist or worsen while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult with a doctor or pharmacist. Do not use this medication for more than 14 consecutive days, and if any allergic reactions or unusual reactions in blood, liver, gastrointestinal, neurological, or skin areas occur, discontinue use immediately and consult with a healthcare professional. This medication may mask the symptoms of gastric cancer and should only be used temporarily for symptom alleviation. If taken with high doses of sucralfate, the absorption of this medication may be reduced; doses should be spaced apart. In case of overdose, appropriate treatment such as vomiting or gastric lavage is necessary, and it should not be taken with alcoholic beverages. If there are changes in physical function after taking this medication, notify a healthcare professional immediately; elderly patients, those with chronic lung disease, diabetes, or weakened immunity may have an increased risk of pneumonia. This medication may cause false-positive results in urine tests, so caution is needed in interpreting test results. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in its original container to prevent misuse and quality degradation.
