Precautions

This medication can cause severe harm to the fetus and newborn during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, you should discontinue use immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to its active ingredients, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have severe liver dysfunction, or have certain heart conditions. Patients with fluid or salt depletion, or those with hypotension may experience hypotensive symptoms while taking this medication, and should be monitored closely. As this medication works by dilating blood vessels to lower blood pressure, it should be used with caution in patients with severe heart disease or obstructive coronary artery disease. Patients with impaired kidney function or decreased liver function should use this medication cautiously, as it may affect kidney and liver function. During treatment with this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, gastrointestinal disturbances, and skin rashes may occur, so consult your physician if you experience any unusual symptoms. Particularly in the elderly, due to decreased kidney and liver function, drug concentration in the body may increase, so it is advisable to start with a lower dose initially. Interactions may occur when this medication is taken with other antihypertensives, diuretics, potassium-sparing agents, etc., so it is essential to inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant are recommended to use safer alternative treatments instead of this medication. If you are breastfeeding, this medication may be transmitted through breast milk, so it is advisable to discontinue breastfeeding or the medication. Safety and efficacy have not been established for children under 18 years of age, so it is not recommended for them. Overdose may lead to severe hypotension or tachycardia, and immediate medical attention should be sought.
