Relief of arthritis (including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), acute pain, and primary dysmenorrhea
This medication is used to relieve the symptoms and signs of arthritis such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It also alleviates acute pain occurring after surgery or tooth extraction in adults. Additionally, it effectively reduces pain caused by primary dysmenorrhea. It can be used as a medication to improve joint and pain-related symptoms.
The minimum recommended dose of this medicine should be adjusted for each patient and may be taken with or without food. Osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis): Take 200mg of celecoxib once daily, or divide the dose into 100mg per dose twice daily. Rheumatoid arthritis: Take 100mg or 200mg of celecoxib per dose twice daily. Ankylosing spondylitis (AS): Administer 200mg of celecoxib per dose once daily, or divide the dose into 100mg per dose twice daily. If no effect is observed after 6 weeks, the dose may be increased to 400mg daily. If no effect is observed after 6 weeks of treatment with 400mg daily, another treatment method should be considered. Acute pain and primary dysmenorrhea: The initial recommended dose is 400mg of celecoxib; if necessary, an additional 200mg may be administered on the first day of treatment. Starting on the second day of treatment, administer the recommended dose of 200mg per dose twice daily as needed. In patients with moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh ClassⅡ), the dose should be reduced to approximately 50% of the recommended daily dose.
