By reducing various types of pain and inflammation, it improves the quality of life for the patients.
The minimum recommended dose of this medication should be adjusted according to the patient and may be administered with or without food. Osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis): Administer celecoxib 200 mg once daily, or divide the dose into 100 mg twice daily. Rheumatoid arthritis: Administer celecoxib 100 mg or 200 mg per dose twice daily. Ankylosing spondylitis (AS): Administer celecoxib 200 mg once daily, or divide the dose into 100 mg twice daily. If no effect is observed after 6 weeks, a dose of up to 400 mg per day may be administered. If no effect is observed after 6 weeks of treatment with 400 mg per day, other treatment options should be considered. Acute pain and primary dysmenorrhea: The recommended initial dose is celecoxib 400 mg, with an additional 200 mg on the first day of treatment if needed. From the second day of treatment, the recommended dose as needed is 200 mg per dose twice daily. Patients with hepatic impairment: In patients with moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class II), the dose should be reduced to approximately 50% of the recommended daily dose.

Serious gastrointestinal issues such as ulcers, bleeding, or perforation may occur, especially in elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases; if symptoms such as epigastric pain, dyspepsia, black stools, or vomiting blood occur, seek medical attention immediately. This medication is contraindicated in patients with specific allergic histories, severe liver or kidney impairment, active peptic ulcers, heart failure, and in pregnant or lactating women. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function, or with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or diabetes should be more cautious when taking this medication, and regular monitoring as directed by a doctor is required. Various adverse reactions may occur, with common symptoms being dyspepsia, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, hypertension, edema, etc. In particular, if skin rash, itching, blistering, or severe allergic reactions occur, discontinue use immediately and contact a healthcare provider. This medication may interact with other drugs, so it is essential to inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medications you are taking, especially when combined with antihypertensive agents, anticoagulants, antidepressants, or diuretics. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should consult a doctor before taking this medication, as it may affect reproductive ability. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Safety and efficacy of this medication in children and adolescents have not been established, so it is advisable not to use in these populations. Elderly patients have a higher likelihood of diminished kidney, liver, and heart function, so careful monitoring is necessary during administration. Regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests should be conducted to check for abnormalities during treatment; if any abnormal findings are present, consult your medical provider immediately. Overdose may result in vomiting, lethargy, drowsiness, and gastrointestinal bleeding; if symptoms occur, seek appropriate medical treatment immediately. Store this medication out of reach of children and be cautious not to transfer it to another container, as this could lead to accidents or degradation of quality.
