Improvement of symptoms and urinary flow in benign prostatic hyperplasia; reduces the need for surgery
This medication helps improve symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. It reduces the size of the enlarged prostate, facilitating smoother urine flow and decreasing the frequency of urgent situations such as acute urinary retention. Additionally, it contributes to reducing the need for invasive surgeries such as transurethral resection of the prostate or prostatectomy. Overall, this drug is effective in alleviating symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia and preventing related complications.
Administer 5 mg orally once daily as Finasteride, regardless of meals. Treatment for a minimum of 6 months is necessary even if symptoms improve.
