These medications are administered when blood pressure is not adequately lowered with monotherapy, helping to manage blood pressure. How to take

Adult dose

This medication is taken once daily, with or without food, with water. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). The recommended doses are as follows: - 5/20 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 5 mg or olmesartan medoxomil 20 mg monotherapy. - 10/20 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with olmesartan medoxomil 20 mg monotherapy.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication can cause serious damage to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with heart failure require special care when using this medication, and patients with impaired renal function may experience changes in kidney function, necessitating regular monitoring. Patients with impaired liver function should also be cautious while using this medication, and since it is metabolized in the liver, liver function should be considered. During treatment with this medication, various side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, edema, gastrointestinal symptoms, etc. may occur, so any abnormal symptoms should be discussed with a doctor. Particularly, when taking this medication concurrently with other drugs, interactions may occur, so it is important to inform your physician or pharmacist about all medications being taken. During pregnancy, this medication should be avoided, and if planning to become pregnant or if pregnancy is confirmed, consultation with a healthcare professional is essential.
