Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
Amlodipine and Olmesartan Medoxomil are medications used in patients with essential hypertension when blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy. These drugs work by dilating blood vessels, lowering blood pressure, and reducing the burden on the heart and blood vessels. This helps decrease the risk of complications associated with hypertension. Proper blood pressure control is vital for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, and these medications are used to effectively manage patients' blood pressure. Therefore, monotherapy with Amlodipine or Olmesartan Medoxomil is effectively used in the treatment of essential hypertension.
This medication is taken once daily, with one tablet taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day, ideally in the morning. The recommended dosages are as follows: - 5/20mg: For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Amlodipine 5mg or Olmesartan Medoxomil 20mg monotherapy. - 10/20mg: For patients not adequately controlled with Olmesartan Medoxomil 20mg.
