It is used to assist patients in managing their blood pressure to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily, 1 tablet, with water, irrespective of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). The recommended dosing is as follows: - 5/20 mg: Administer to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of either Amlodipine 5 mg or Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg. - 10/20 mg: Administer to those on Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be used by patients allergic to any of the active ingredients or similar components, by pregnant or nursing women, by patients with severe liver impairment, aortic stenosis, obstructive biliary disease, patients undergoing renal dialysis, patients in shock, and certain diabetic patients. For patients with insufficient body fluids or electrolytes, low blood pressure may occur, so their condition should be monitored closely when starting this medication, and appropriate treatment should be received if low blood pressure occurs. Patients with renal impairment may experience further deterioration of kidney function while taking this medication, so caution is necessary, as liver impairment also affects the metabolism of this medication. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, edema, dyspepsia, skin rash, etc., may occur while taking this medication; if any unusual symptoms appear, the patient should consult a physician. Taking this medication during pregnancy may lead to severe issues such as renal dysfunction in the fetus, oligohydramnios, and malformations, so women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should consult a doctor. Nursing mothers should discontinue nursing or stop taking this medication, as it can be transmitted through breast milk and may affect the baby. It is recommended that this medication not be used in pediatric patients under 18 years of age, as its safety and efficacy have not been established. Elderly patients should start with a lower dose, as they may have decreased liver or kidney function, and their condition should be closely monitored. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension and symptoms due to vasodilation may occur, so immediate medical attention is necessary and cardiac and respiratory functions should be closely monitored. This medication should be stored in a closed container to protect it from air and moisture and should be kept at a temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. Therefore, avoid hot or cold places and keep it in a cool, dry place.
